Eimskip will open a new office in Nuuk in Greenland as from beginning of September. Eimskip started a vessel sharing agreement with the Greenlandic transportation company Royal Arctic Line in June 2020. From the same time Greenland has had connections to Eimskip’s sailing system which opens great opportunities for Greenland. Opening an office in Greenland will enable Eimskip to offer local services to the Greenlandic market.
Eimskip has hired Kristine Lange Lyberth as the manager for Eimskip Greenland. Kristine has extensive experience within the shipping and logistics in Greenland. She was a key account manager for Mittarfeqarfiit the Greenland airports, key account manager for the transportation company Royal Arctic Line and account manager for Tele erhverv.
“I am very excited to join Eimskip in Greenland and explore the opportunities related to Greenland’s connections to international markets. I am looking forward working locally with customers in Greenland and introduce new markets to them.” Says Kristine Lange Lyberth, manager for Eimskip Greenland.
Eimskip has been focusing on transportation services in the Greenlandic markets and already developed strong services both in seafreight and airfreight especially through its subsidiaries SHIP-LOG A/S in Denmark and TVG-Zimsen in Iceland.
The Eimskip office in Nuuk will focus on services to and from Greenland together with a wide scope of worldwide freight forwarding services, air freight and agency services.
