Óskar Magnússon has been elected new Chairman of the Board of Eimskip and Margrét Guðmundsdóttir Vice Chairman but the new Board of Directors met following the Company‘s Annual General Meeting held on March 17th. The Board was self-elected but in addition to Óskar and Margrét, Lárus Blöndal, Guðrún Blöndal and Ólöf Hildur Pálsdóttir were er-elected to the Board. Women therefore continue to form the majority of the board. Baldvin Þorsteinsson, who previously served as the Chairman of the Board, and Jóhanna á Bergi were elected as alternate board members.
