Heavy storm in the Faroe Islands has caused the vessel Tukuma Arctica, situated at the quay in Torshavn, to rip loose from the quay and settle across the harbour. Tukuma Arctica is owned by Royal Arctic Line and is one of three vessels operated under the Vessel Sharing Agreement between Eimskip and Royal Arctic Line. The crew is inspecting the vessel to assess damage. The weather in the Faroe Islands is not expected to calm down until late this afternoon, and only then it will be possible to further assess damage to the vessel. There are no injuries, no damage to the cargo and no indication of oil spill. Eimskip will follow the matter closely.
