Vilhjálmur Kári Haraldsson has been appointed Global HR & Communication Coordinator at Eimskip. He is returning to the Company’s Human Resources & Communication division after most recently serving as HR Manager for Eimskip in the Netherlands. Vilhjálmur joined Eimskip in 2021 as an HR Specialist and later became HR Manager for Eimskip in Iceland.
In his new role, Vilhjálmur will work across the Company, with a particular focus on Eimskip’s international offices. He will support key areas and initiatives within the Human Resources & Communication division, which encompasses human resources, payroll and remuneration, culture and learning, communications, and marketing.
Vilhjálmur will work closely with managers and teams across Eimskip’s international offices, focusing on collaboration and alignment across countries, knowledge sharing, and the implementation of shared initiatives and solutions. He will also work to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and more effective use of systems and tools.

Vilhjálmur holds a B.Ed. degree in Education and a master’s degree in human resource management. He has around 20 years of experience in human resources across a range of companies and organizations. He has also worked as a football coach for approximately 30 years and holds a UEFA A coaching license.
