Eimskip’s sailing system provides reliable, weekly coverage across the North Atlantic and connects seamlessly to our worldwide forwarding network. The five lines link Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway, the UK, mainland Europe, the U.S. and Canada. Services are designed with speed and reliability in mind, with strong capacity for fresh and frozen products, and door‑to‑door logistics to keep cargo moving from pickup to final delivery.
Blue Line
Express service in both directions with short transit times, ideal for fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, and other time‑sensitive cargo. Calls at Rotterdam provide onward distribution into continental Europe, while Teesport offers efficient access to UK markets. Vessels on this route: Helle Ritscher and Jonni Ritscher.
Red Line
Weekly route operated under a vessel‑sharing agreement with Royal Arctic Line, using larger ships for stability and capacity. The route connects Aarhus, Helsingborg, Bremerhaven, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Greenland, supporting dependable import and export flows year‑round. Vessels on this route: Dettifoss, Brúarfoss, and RAL's Tukuma Arctica.
Yellow Line
Express services tailored to fresh fish and other chilled cargo from Iceland and the Faroe Islands to the UK, with efficient UK inland distribution options. The line also offers express Aarhus → Faroe Islands and bi‑weekly calls to Fredrikstad (NO) and Szczecin (PL) to extend coverage in Scandinavia and the Baltics. Vessels on this route: Selfoss and Skogafoss.
Green Line
Reliable weekly calls from Reykjavík to the U.S. East Coast (Portland, ME), Nova Scotia (Halifax) and Newfoundland (Argentia). The line connects with Eimskip's European routes in Reykjavík to create smooth end‑to‑end solutions across the Atlantic, including customs support and inland delivery. Vessels on this route: Bakkafoss, Pictor, EF Ava.
Orange Line
A weekly loop designed for chilled and frozen goods, combining coastal pickups in Norway with onward access to the Faroe Islands, England, and the Netherlands. The service gives producers flexible loading points and consistent distribution into key European markets. Vessels on this route: Svartfoss, Polfoss, Holmfoss, Silver Star.
